Hitty's Bench

Please note that dimensions can be distorted
when passed over the internet and pattern pieces may display differently from
the proper size. Please use the measurements listed below as your authoritative
guide when creating Hitty's bench.
Hitty's bench is made from wood 3/16" thick. It is painted a flat, pale
gray color.
The seat hinges up to uncover a storage area underneath. The "hinges"
are simple pin hinges made from small nails with the heads cut off, and inserted
into holes drilled into, but not through the sides. (These pins must be inserted
into the seat and then into the holes in the sides as the bench is being assembled
and glued together.)
The back edge of the seat must be sanded slightly rounded so that it will pivot
up to open. The front edge of the seat is gently curved, extending in the center
3/16" beyond the front piece so that it can be lifted up and opened.
The overall dimensions are: 4 3/8" wide x 3 5/8" high x 2 1/16"
deep. Pieces required are:

2 - Sides: 2 1/16" x 3 5/8"
