CAMP ASH GROVE-A Tour of Stockbridge-June/July 2004-page3

For Hitty's protection, and indeed to protect the entire historical collection, photos aren't allowed in the museum room. However, you CAN take pictures in the rest of the library, and the library has these wonderful Hitty notecards for $1.75 each. You can also get a Jonathan Edwards Postcard, depicting Jonathan Edwards' ingenious desk, another famous piece in the historical collection, or, for $15, a Stockbridge Library book tote depicting the original library building, before the wing additions were built. Hitty Henrietta and Bertie Shakespeare Drew are proud to show the school's treasured souvenirs from their trip. Each card will be framed to decorate the hallowed halls of Mt. Ash Branch of Ash Grove Academy

Henrietta is especially happy with a large-size (compared to a Hitty!) "art print" of Norman Rockwell's painting "Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas." It turns out that the famous painter Norman Rockwell lived in Stockbridge for many years, but more about that later in our tour!
