| CAMP ASH GROVE-A
Tour of Stockbridge-June/July
2004-page4 |
After their visit with the Original
Hitty, the girls headed back upstairs to see the rest of the library.
They'd scarcely paid attention to anything on the way to see Original
Hitty Preble, but now they were ready to look around and see the rest
of Hitty's "house!" First, they headed into the Children's
room, on the first floor, directly above Hitty's Museum room.

Sure enough, there was a copy of Hitty, Her First
Hundred Years on the shelf, and another interesting Rachel Field
book besides!

Left: As everywhere in the Stockbridge Library, antique
beauty and modern technology fit comfortably side by side. Right:
Julie shows some of the girls a peaceful sunny view out this striking
window.

Here's the Children's room from above! Julie and Sara
carried all the campers up the lovely ornate staircase, and what did
they find at the top? Why, let's find out!
